Overview

The standard iPhone ringtones such as “Chimes” and “Ripple” gets old after a while.  Luckily a large number of available apps make the ringtone-crafting process easy and cheaply.  However there is a way to do this quickly and easily without the need for third-party software.

Step 1 - Open iTunes

To begin, launch the latest version of iTunes in Windows or Mac OS X. To do so using Mac OS X, click iTunes in the main application toolbar and select "Check for Updates" from the resulting drop-down menu. If using Windows, click the "Help" option in the Menu Bar below the playback buttons.  Then select "Check for Updates" near the bottom of the resulting drop-down list. Click the main toolbar in the upper-left corner and choose the  "Show Menu Bar" should the Menu Bar isn’t available.
