Overview
As the home button is mechanical and not virtual the home button can wear out over time. You can repair your iPhone's home button easily using these simple steps.
Step 1 - Buy a Replacement Home Button

You can find them online. Make sure it comes with a flex cable.

Step 2 - Remove Screws

Unscrew the screws on the bottom of the iPhone. Make sure that your phone is turned off.

Step 3 - Remove Screen

The front screen can be removed with a suction cup and any flat tool. It will still be connected to the phone by ribbon cables, so don’t pull it away too hard.

Step 4 - Remove Ribbon Cables

Unscrew these three screws to remove the ribbon cables connecting the screen to the base.

Step 5 - Remove Home Button Screws

Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the bracket protecting the home button.

Step 6 - Replace Home Button

Gently use a prying tool to lever the old home button out of position and replace it with your new home button.

Step 7 - Reassemble iPhone
