Overview

Siri is a feature on the iOS that acts as a personal assistant and knowledge navigator.  Siri uses a natural language user interface to answer questions and perform other actions by delegating requests to various Web services.

Step 1 - Make sure Siri is Enabled.

Go to 'Settings' > 'General' > 'Siri'. Make sure toggle switch is ON.

Step 2
Hold down the 'Home' button until you see a microphone on screen

 Siri will ask “What can I help you with?”, say a command.

Step 4 - Choose from the Options Presented

By speaking naturally Siri will parse the voice data and connect you with the relevant webservices.  Although it may not directly answer a question it forward you along in the right direction.  To see more cool stuff that Siri can do check here.
