Overview
If you are starting your new business or already have one and wish to create an app but are short on time and money you are not alone. Here is a list of 10 Software platforms (there are dozens of them out there but we are covering just 10) you can use to make new iPhone apps. These apps help you make your own applications quickly and most importantly require very little coding knowledge via providing a visual development environment.
Appery.io
Appery.io is a cloud based software creation software that allows you to build iOS apps by clicking, dragging and dropping visual components. However this tool is best used if you have some knowledge of programming such as JavaScript. Appery provides MBAAS (mobile back end as a service) which is a fancy way of saying it allows developers to link to their cloud storage and provides access to numerous APIs.

Mobile Roadie
Mobile Roadie is a template based app building tool that doesn't require any programminig knowledge.  See this great article on this quick and easy solution.

TheAppBuilder
This enterprise targeted solution is a cloud-based platform that allows non-techies to build native apps.  Native apps differ from web apps in that they allow access to device hardware such as the camera and GPS.  Also native apps are more secure than web-based apps.

GoodBarber
GoodBarber is a great app building tool that integrates via connectors that allow you to provide a lot of functionality to your app.  You can connect your Wordpress site using GoodBarber using their plug-in.  You can use their service for free for 1 month.

Appy Pie
Despite the name Appy Pie is a powerhouse product that allows non techies to develop cloud-based apps using their easy to use platform.  They offer both a free and a paid option for building apps and if you want custom apps they can help you with that as well.

App Machine
AppMachine was founded in 2011 and they allow developers to build both webapps or native apps for a variety of platforms.  Like other platforms they are catered for non programmers and provide a variety of tools that help clients promote, analyze and publish apps.

GameSalad
GameSalad is focused on making games.  It has been so successful that some of the top games on the appstore were built using it.  No fault of GameSalad but this article shows how somebody was able to make a fortune using a template from GameSalad.  Great for kids and students who want to have a future in game design.

Small and medium sized businesses are the target of BiznessApps.  This company has specific apps for industry verticals such as restaurants, bars/clubs, realtors, lawyers, gyms, spas and more.

AppMakr
One of the biggest drag and drop app makers with over 2M apps built.   Optimized for non programmers and completely based in the cloud (the company does not have a physical office), this company offers a very robus platform for aspiring developers.

ShoutEm
What differentiates this tool is their robust location based tolls that allow you to build apps with location based functionality.  They have also launched a mobile customer loyalty program builder that allows businesses to accumulate points for rewards.  This tool allows companies to track customer engagement, store visits and walk-ins.
